Bading and his wife regale fans with stories of "Mom" and Ellis Parker,
including Ellis's gigantic shotgun and whether he kept bones in his office.
Apparently, the two stories are not related....I hope.

Bading, son of Anna Bading, Ellis Parker's secretary and Dr. Watson. She
even went with Parker (and the governor) to visit condemned killer Bruno
Hauptmann in jail. Let's face it; meeting an author is not a big deal, but
meeting someone whose mother was a key figure in a book is a chance to put a
human face on the story.

Rew, who has a TV interview show called Barbara's Choice on a local cable
station in the D.C. suburbs has a good laugh when I use the term "Master
Detective" and "movie rights" in the same sentence.
