Someone said that talk is cheap because the supply exceeds the demand. The same
might be said of writing.
The world is full of aspiring writers
pounding away at everything from a local newsletter to the next great American
novel. They spend long hours honing their work, but most of it will never
see the light of day, except perhaps as a blog post. As the rejections
pile up, writers can easily get the idea that the whole publishing system is
wildly irrational, if not actively malevolent.
Although I did get some books in print, I don't have all
the answers, but I've been through it and have accumulated a lot of information
about writing, researching, and getting published.
